The oldest record of this family is Johann Heinrich Christoph Notrof from Kothsasse who married Marie Magdalene Kiene from Neuhof and other records refer to him as Andreas Johann Heinrich Nordroff born April 1, 1767. His son is Johann Heinrich Christoph Notrof, born 4 Sep 1804 according to baptism record from Lamspringe. He married Johanne Dorothea Maria Benecke, born 9 Jun 1807 in Bonnien, Kingdom of Hanover. Some of their children came to Platteville, Grant County, WI.

"The Nodurft - Nodorft Family Tree," by Raymond L. Nodurft, Wyoming, Iowa 52362 is the book I mentioned. He listed the total descendants as of July 31, 1969 which is the only date I could find. It consists mainly of obituaries from the Plattevile Journal, Platteville, WI and the Press Journal, Strawberry Point, Iowa; the Peace Lutheran Church, Platteville, WI; and St. Sebald Lutheran Church, Strawberry Point, Iowa. (I never did contact the churches for information about him.) I also had the address for Ann Kaiser, 707 Berkley, Dubuque, Iowa 52001 but the letter was returned in 1995 and the post office said the party had not lived at the address for over 2 years.
John Fredinand Nodorft born 1818 in Ohlenrode, Germany married in 1843 to Caroline Muller and came to Platteville, Wisconsin in 1869 with his son Ferdinand born 1843.

A Mike Nolde, 410 Hyde Park Drive, Hutchinson, KS 67502-2828 found me and his ancestor was George Henry Nodurft, b. 1808 in the Kingdom of Hanover, Germany and d. 1892 in Lyons, KS.
This is the same family as above but they use the name Nodorft or Nodurft
John Heinrich Nothdurft b. 1854 in Ohlinrode, near Rhuden, Germany. The family seems to have moved to Bremen, Germany. The family is now in Brisbane, Australia. There are other Nothdurft families in Maryborough and Toowoomba near Brisbane, Australia. Whether they are related has not been established.
